Mission
The WWMDC oversees the operation and maintenance of the waste water treatment plant (WWTP), which accepts and treats waste water from businesses, residents, and town facilities in the center of Wayland. Since 1997, the WWMDC has maintained the finances of the WWTP and its long-term viability, including its planned replacement to provide for increased flow due to the Town Center project, more stringent limits of effluent in the operating permit from the Massachusetts DEP, and aging of the current facility.
