Permit applications may be submitted to the Building Department during regular business hours ( Monday 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.; Tuesday-Friday 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.). We request all applicants follow the Permit Application Procedures established by the Building Department to avoid any unnecessary delays in processing your application. Generally Building Permit Applications take 7 - 10 days to review and approve. New one and two family dwellings, commercial projects, and all projects under construction control may take the full 30 days pursuant to the Massachusetts State Building Code to
review and approve. If for any reason a Building Permit Application is denied, you will be provided with a written list of deficiencies. When all deficiencies are addressed, your permit will be issued.
