Applicants MUST complete a new application every year.

Wayland homeowners 60 years of age or older may apply. (Only one homeowner per household.) The Council on Aging makes every effort to match each applicant to a specific department based on the Town Department’s needs/requirements and the individual’s skill set and specific requests.

Application to the Tax Work Off Program does not guarantee assignment to a Town Department.

Participants assigned positions will complete 62 hours of service (prior to March 31, 2011) to receive a $500 credit on their property tax bill. If the COA receives more than 44 applicants prior to July 1, 2010, there will be a lottery.
