Who is eligible for WYFS services?
Counseling services are available to any Wayland school-aged child and his/her family. In addition, any child who attends school in Wayland but who may reside elsewhere is eligible for counseling services. Community education and prevention events are generally open to the public.
What do the services cost?
Counseling services provided by department staff are free of charge. We occasionally contract with outside experts to provide services, for which there may be a fee in order to cover the cost. Example: A specialized parent group or a speaker.
How does confidentiality work?
All counseling services are provided by licensed mental health clinicians who adhere to a strict policy of confidentiality. We will only disclose information about you or your family at your written request, and only to parties designated by you, except in the event of imminent danger to self or others.
