Opening the Gardens
2019 Garden Opening
The gates to the community garden will be open on April 1st 2019. If road conditions are unfavorable, the gate will be kept closed until conditions improve to prevent vehicles from rutting the road or getting stuck. We recommend that gardeners park at the main parking lot at Cow Common until conditions improve.
Parking within the community garden is available along the side of the garden road, please make sure there is enough room for vehicles to pass safely and practice common sense if the soil is waterlogged.
Water will be turned on at the discretion of the Conservation Land Manager depending on conditions.
Applications to previous community garden plot renters will be sent out the week of March 11th 2019.
Unclaimed plots will become available to interested individuals after April 1st 2019.
Additional Information
Plots are approximately 20’ X 30’.
An individual can have a maximum of four plots.
Please avoid encroaching on neighboring plots and be considerate of vegetation that may shade nearby plots.
At the end of each season, please pickup after yourself.
