Fuel Assistance

Wayland Council On Aging offers application assistance to residents interested in Fuel Assistance through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)*.  This program is designed to help people with low-income afford the cost of heat and runs between Nov 1 and April 30 each year.  Eligibility is based on gross annual income and family size. 

All first year applicants must participate in an in-person interview.  For more information about the application process, eligibility and to schedule an appointment, please call Sue Hatton, Outreach Coordinator at 508-358-2990.

*LIHEAP Fuel Assistance is administered locally through SMOC (South Middlesex Opportunity Council).  Additional information regarding income guidelines and other needed documentation is available through the SMOC website.
