In August, 2020, WHC member Tonya Largy participated in a Troop 1, Cochituate, Eagle Scout project that took place at the Castle Hill Conservation Area trailhead at Alpine Road.  The project was on the edge of a registered archaeological site that had been there before the soccer field was built. Because the project involved digging, Tonya was there to monitor the scouts’ work. Here she sifts soil from the project area and searches for artifacts or items with archaeological significance. The WHC should be alerted whenever a project on Town-owned land disturbs the ground.
