Post Annual Town Meeting Survey
Wayland held its Annual Town Meeting last Monday May 1, beginning at 6:45 pm and ending around 11 pm. The peak attendance at this meeting was 182 – less than a third of what we were expecting based on the online attendance survey posted in April, and significantly less than attendance at past Annual Town Meetings. We understand that child care responsibilities, work responsibilities, and disabilities can prevent Waylanders from attending Town Meetings; that’s why we’re working to legalize Remote Participation in our Town Meetings. However, if there other impediments that can be eliminated, we’d like to identify them.
