About Rec Summer Camps

Why are our camps so popular? It’s no accident. These are fantastic camps with excellent staff.   Our staff is carefully selected, screened and trained – and they bring the magic of camp every day. We look for and select young adults and professionals who are sensitive, caring, and fun -- who are also responsible, independent, and put safety first.

We offer seven one-week sessions from June 26 to August 11 for children ages 3.5 through children entering Grade 8. We also offer a Leadership (CIT) program for kids entering Grade 9 and Grade 10. We also offer many sports and science clinics through Labor Day.

We're Licensed! We choose to license our camps with the Board of Health and adhere to Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) regulations even though most municipal camps are exempt from this. We do this to ensure that our camps meet the same standards that parents expect from any high-quality summer camp.

**While successful completion of CIT Program will prepare CITs for employment at any camp, it does not guarantee employment.

CITs will embark on a two week adventure of exciting fun and games, but also challenging activities to develop leadership skills. Each will learn a great deal about the art of managing groups- really energetic groups of campers who attend Summer Adventure. The campers look up to the counselors, but they especially admire the CITs as role models.  CITs find this program incredibly rewarding and, if they do it right, a whole lot of fun too. [more info]
