Water Division

WATER USAGE RESTRICTIONS - EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
June 15, 2018

Effective immediately, The Water Division is upgrading its level of Nonessential Outdoor Water Use Restrictions to the following:

     - Underground sprinklers & above ground sprinklers attached to hoses:  Underground and above ground sprinkler use is allowed 1 day per week.  The designated day for outdoor water use is Wednesdays before 9:00am and after 5:00pm

      - Handheld Hose:  Handheld hose watering is permitted anytime.

Due to low water flows on the Concord River at USGS Streamflow Gauge #01099500 (276 cubic feet per second as of 6:30am on 6/15/2018).  The Wayland Water Division must institute Nonessential Outdoor Water Use Restrictions based on the Wayland Water Management Act Permit.  This restriction will remain in place until the Streamflow increases to 427 cubic feet per second for 7 consecutive days or September 30th, whichever comes first.

This restriction is not based on an operational issue and is based on Streamflow Restrictions written into Wayland’s Water Management Act Permit.

For more information please visit the Wayland DPW Water Division page here.  If you have any questions, please contact the DPW Office at 508-358-3672.
