IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING EXEMPTION FILING
On April 17, 2020, the Wayland Board of Selectmen voted to extend the application filing deadline for all Statutory Exemptions, Circuit Breaker Program, and CPA Exemptions to May 1, 2020.
New applications must be received in the Assessors’ Office by 12:30 pm on Friday May 1st to be considered.
Delivery of applications can be by USPS mail or by hand delivery to the Town Building. A mail slot marked “Tax Collector” is located just inside the front door of the building. Applications placed there will be taken to the Assessors’ Office.

Fiscal Year 2020 Tax Rate: $17.76 per $1,000
Fiscal Year 2020 began on 7/1/2019. The values for FY2020 were established in the late fall of 2019, and the tax rate was approved by the DOR's Division of Local Services on 12/11/2019. Preliminary tax bills for the 1st and 2nd quarters of FY2020 were determined for all existing properties based on the total taxes paid in FY2019. The 3rd quarter tax bills, based on the new assessments and tax rate, were issued the last week of December and 4th quarter tax bills were mailed April 1st. Preliminary tax bills for the 1st quarter of FY2021 will be mailed at the end of June 2020.
NOTE: Due to the current health crisis, meetings are streamed live on WayCAM, with all BOA members participating by teleconference. Meetings are currently scheduled on Thursdays at 3:00 pm as needed. Agendas are posted at least 48 hours before meetings as required by the Open Meeting Law.
Meetings of the Board of Assessors are open to the public and are generally held on Mondays (as posted) at 7:15 pm in the Town Building and are recorded by Waycam.
