The Treasurer/Collector Office is an essential service and will be staffed during business hours so that your real estate, personal property, excise and water bill payments can be processed in a timely manner.

*As of 3/30,  DPW Transfer Station trash bags can be purchased at the Town Building. Please call first to place your order directly with the Treasurer.
Payment and bags will be exchanged outside while practicing social distancing. Payments can be made by placing a check or cash in the exact amount in an envelope.


The Treasurer/Collector's Office is responsible for collecting all monies due to the Town in a timely and efficient manner.  The Treasurer is responsible for the investment of all the money collected making sure to follow the policy of "safety, liquidity and yield."  In addition, the Office is responsible for issuing Municipal Lien Certificates, managing the Tax Title and Betterment accounts, paying Town Meeting authorized debt and helping taxpayers resolve any financial issues they may have with the Town.
