The Transfer Station is now OPEN (click for Calendar) for Bulky Waste, Tires, Mattresses & Box Springs, Electronics .......(Click for BULKY FEES AND RECYCLEABLE INFORMATION)

The Transfer Station is happy to reopen for the acceptance of payable items such as Bulky Waste, Electronics and Tires as well as recyclable Mattresses & Box Springs. Give & Take remains closed for now!

The Transfer Station is now open for the sale of Stickers and Orange Pay-As-You-Throw bags

The Transfer Station is open for the sale of stickers and orange bags. Users of the Transfer Station are required to dispose of regular household trash in special Town of Wayland trash bags. Wayland trash bags are available for purchase, by appointment only, at the Treasurer's Office located at the Town Building. Please call the Treasurer's Office at 508-358-3633 to arrange payment and pickup.

 There are three bag sizes available, and no sales tax charged:

Small8 gallon$5.00 per 5 pack
Medium14 gallon$7.50 per pack
Large30 gallon$12.50 per pack

Medium & Large sized Trash Bags are available for purchase at:

  • Honey Farms Convenience Store,114 Main Street
  • Donelan’s Supermarket, 177 Commonwealth Road
  • Stop & Shop, Town Center, 400 Boston Post Road, Wayland
  • Stop & Shop, 235 Old Connecticut Path, Framingham
  • Ace Hardware, Town Center, 70 Andrew Avenue
  • Treasurer’s Office, call 508-358-3635.

Rain Barrels Available

Order Deadline: April 12, 2020 at midnight.
Pick-Up Starts Saturday April 18, 2020 10:00 am - 2:00 pm and available whenever the Transfer Station is open.

Bulky Waste Changes 2019

In order to financially sustain operations, the Transfer Station will begin to charge for Bulky Waste items beginning Tuesday August 6, 2019. The list of accepted items and associated charges can be found on Transfer Station tab. New property updates including new signage, lane markings and an attendant's booth have been established to accommodate Bulky Waste processing. If you have any questions, please contact the Wayland DPW at 508-358-3672
