How does the proposed CoA/Community Center compare with other peer towns?
Several of our peer towns have either already built new centers or are in the middle of designing them. Wayland currently occupies a 2,500 SF space that was renovated over 50 years ago. The square foot per senior ratio is 0.66 square feet/senior. All new centers being designed or recently built range between 2-4 sq ft/senior. Wayland’s proposed center will be 2.10 sq ft/senior.
