Mission:

The Wayland Fire Department’s mission is to provide the finest possible fire, rescue, and emergency medical services to all those that reside in, work in, or visit the Town of Wayland.  To meet our mission, we strive to achieve the highest levels of preparedness, prevention and community involvement.  Our department is founded upon the core values of mutual trust, pride in service, integrity and diversity.

About Us:

The Wayland Fire Department covers an area of approximately 13 square miles and provides emergency services to approximately 13,500 residents.  We are ready to respond to any emergency 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Our emergency services include: fire suppression, rescue, and emergency medical services.  We also participate in mutual aid coverage with neighboring communities.  The Wayland Fire Department is comprised of the Fire Chief, an Assistant Fire Chief, Career Firefighters, and an Administrative Assistant.  Construction of the new Public Safety Building, located at 38 Cochituate Road, was completed in 2003 and houses the Fire/Rescue/EMS, Police, and Dispatch Departments for the Town of Wayland.
