New Visitor Guidelines for Wayland Town Buildings

On May 29, 2021 The Governor issued an executive order that lifts nearly all COVID-19 Restrictions.  After May 29, municipalities and businesses may decide whether to continue to require face masks and capacity limits within their own property.  Starting immediately the Town of Wayland will implement the following guidelines below for all Municipal buildings.  All Town Departments will continue to be available in person and over the phone.  Please adhere to the following rules below when entering any municipal buildings:

  • Face masks will be required indoors by visitors at all times until the lifting of the Governor's State of Emergency on June 15, 2021. 
  • Visitors are encouraged to maintain social distancing

Town Building (41 Cochituate Road)

  • Continue to enter and exit using the front door (facing Route 27 and 126 with parking near the Veterans’ Memorial and Flagpole)
  • All departments are available for walk in hours
  • Hours of Operation
    • Monday 8:00am – 7:00pm
    • Tuesday – Thursday 8:00am – 4:00pm
    • Friday 8:00am – 12:30pm
  • Building Department Hours of Operation
    • Walk-in: 8:30-10:00am Monday – Friday
    • Appointments: 2:00pm, 2:20pm and 2:40pm Monday & Wednesdays  
    • Members of the Public may access the drop box located in front of the Building Department to drop off all completed applications.
    • Members of the Public are highly encouraged to email or call ahead prior to coming to Town Building 508-358-3601

Public Works Building (66 River Road)

  • Open to the public with above hours of operation

Public Safety Building: Police and Fire Departments (38 Cochituate Road)

  • FOR ALL EMERGENCIES, PLEASE CALL 9-1-1
  • For non-emergency, non-essential business:
    • Police: call (508) 358-4721; lobby is open 24/7
    • Fire:     call (508) 358-4747; lobby is open 24/7

Wayland Free Public Library (5 Concord Road)

  • In-Library browsing hours have expanded. No Appointment Necessary. For information on this and other available services, call (508) 358-2311 or visit https://waylandlibrary.org/

Wayland Housing Authority (106 Main Street)

  • Open Monday through Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm, call (508) 655-6310 with any questions
