Storm Update #2 - 9:00 am 12/21/23

Wayland, MA – The storm on Monday, December 18, 2023, produced significant tree damage and flooding in Wayland.
Power Restoration – According to Eversource, electrical power has been restored to all but two (2) properties in Wayland.
Debris Clean up – The DPW will continue to clean up storm debris within the right of way on town roads. The majority of the clean-up should be completed today.
Flooding – Flooding remains the biggest challenge from this storm. Water levels have increased slightly causing additional closures. The following roads are closed:
- Pelham Island
- River
- Water Row
We will continue to monitor water levels and motorist should avoid these roads.
