Storm Update - 4:00 pm 12/20/23

Wayland, MA – The storm on Monday, December 18, 2023, produced significant tree damage and flooding in Wayland.  Eversource is working at all of the remaining areas that do not have power at this time. They have provided the following restoration time estimates:

Draper Road area – Estimated power restoration is 6 p.m. Draper road has one lane open for vehicular travel.

Old Connecticut Path (East) – Eversource crews are replacing damaged poles and repairing impacted wiring. Estimated restoration time is 6 p.m. The actual road remains closed to thru traffic. 

Woodridge area - Estimated power restoration is 6 p.m. Woodridge Rd is open to vehicular traffic.

Other areas of town without power should be restored by 11 p.m. tonight, according to Eversource.

Flooding

Please be advised, there are two roads that remain closed due to flooding, Pelham Island and River. Water levels are expected to peak within the next 24 hours. Motorist should avoid these roads.
