Wayland Electricity Choice Public Session Recordings

WAYLAND, MA – The Town of Wayland is pleased to announce the launch of Wayland Electricity Choice, a type of group electricity buying program from the Town that gives residents and businesses more choice and control over the electricity they buy. Through Wayland Electricity Choice and the collective buying power of the community, Wayland electricity customers will get more of their electricity from renewable sources for a price that is lower than Eversource’s current residential Basic Service price. However, future savings compared with Eversource cannot be guaranteed.

Wayland Electricity Choice participants will see a change only in their electricity supplier and in the price that Eversource uses to calculate the Supply portion of their electric bill. Eversource remains Wayland’s electric utility, and they will continue to deliver electricity in Wayland, address power outages, and send electric bills.
