What are the benefits of the proposed CoA / Community Center?

Community Centers provide people of all ages the opportunity to work, play and, most importantly, to gather and strengthen connections to one another. Visitors will enjoy a host of different educational classes, recreational activities, social gatherings, art classes, musical practice and performances, and other cultural activities.  The Center will also serve as a community meeting space for the many volunteer boards, committees, and organizations.

The CoA/Community Center would hold activities sponsored by the Council on Aging (CoA), Recreation Department, Veterans Affairs, Wayland Youth & Family Services, and community groups like scouting, youth athletic boards and parent associations, as well as Town Committees and Boards.
