 IMPROVEMENTS TO LOKER CONSERVATION AND RECREATION AREA

IFB # 19-1029

The Town of Wayland, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for Improvements to Loker Conservation and Recreation Area in Wayland, MA, including, but not limited to, the following:

Construction of synthetic turf field.

New energy efficient lighting.

New parking area with 63 spaces.

General site regrading.

Installation and upgrade of utilities including stormwater drainage and electrical.

Bidding procedures shall be in accordance with Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 30, Section 39M (MGL C.30, S.39M) as amended.

Beginning September 17, 2018, complete sets of bidding documents, including bid forms, may be electronically downloaded from the Town of Wayland website at: www.wayland.ma.us/bids by selecting “19-1029 IFB Improvements To Loker Conservation and Recreation Area” or may be viewed at the Facilities Department, 2nd Floor, Wayland Town Building, 41 Cochituate Road, Wayland, MA  01778.

A prebid conference and site walk will be held at Loker Conservation and Recreation Area, 412 Commonwealth Road, Wayland, MA 01776 on September 27, 2018 at 11:30 AM.  Contractors are invited to meet the designers and owner representative at the parking area.

Sealed bids for the contract will be received at the Facilities Department, 2nd Floor, Wayland Town Building, 41 Cochituate Road, Wayland, MA  01778 until October 9, 2018 at 2pm.  All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter at the location set forth in the previous sentence.

The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, as determined to be in the best interest of the Town and to waive minor informalities.

No less than the minimum salaries and wages as established by the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Industries shall be paid to employees on this project, as set forth in the bidding documents.
