IMPROVEMENTS TO WAYLAND HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC FACILITIES
IFB # 19-1030
The Town of Wayland/Wayland Public Schools, the Awarding Authority as represented by the Wayland School Committee, invites sealed bids for Improvements to Wayland High School Athletic Facilities in Wayland, MA, including, but not limited to, the following:
Replacement of the existing stadium with synthetic turf field and competition track.
Construction of ADA accessible bleachers of 1400 person capacity.
New energy efficient lighting and sound system.
Construction of six new tennis courts.
Construction of a softball field.
New parking area with 29 spaces.
Construction of two new basketball courts with sports lighting.
General site re-grading.
Upgrade of utilities including stormwater and water main relocation.
Bidding procedures shall be in accordance with Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 30, Section 39M (MGL C.30, S.39M) as amended.
Beginning September 17, 2018, complete sets of bidding documents, including bid forms, may be electronically downloaded from the Town of Wayland website at: www.wayland.ma.us/bids by selecting “19-1030 IFB Improvements To Wayland High School Athletic Facilities” or may be viewed at the Facilities Department, 2nd Floor, Wayland Town Building, 41 Cochituate Road, Wayland, MA 01778.
A prebid conference and site walk will be held at Wayland High School, 264 Old Connecticut Path, Wayland, MA 01778 on September 27, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Contractors are invited to meet the designers and owner representative at the softball field located at the entrance drive to the high school.
Sealed bids for the contract will be received at the Facilities Department, 2nd Floor, Wayland Town Building, 41 Cochituate Road, Wayland, MA 01778 until October 9, 2018 at 2pm. All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter at the location set forth in the previous sentence.
The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, as determined to be in the best interest of the Town and to waive minor informalities.
No less than the minimum salaries and wages as established by the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Industries shall be paid to employees on this project, as set forth in the bidding documents.
