The Town of Wayland, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for Wayland High School Athletic Field Buildings in Wayland, MA, including, but not limited to, the following: Construction of a restroom building. Construction of a concession and ticket building. Construction of a storage building. Connecting and installing utilities within the buildings including water, wastewater and electrical.
Bidding procedures shall be in accordance with Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 149, Section 44A-J.
Beginning August 1, 2019, complete sets of bidding documents, including bid forms, may be electronically downloaded from the Town of Wayland website at: www.wayland.ma.us/bids by selecting “20-1012 High School Athletic Field Buildings” or may be viewed at the Facilities Department, 2nd Floor, Wayland Town Building, 41 Cochituate Road, Wayland, MA 01778.
Sealed bids for the contract will be received at the Facilities Department, 2nd Floor, Wayland Town Building, 41 Cochituate Road, Wayland, MA 01778 until August 29, 2019 at 2:00 PM. All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter at the location set forth in the previous sentence.
Filed Sub-bids: Bid Opening: August 22, 2019 at 2:00 PM – DCAMM Certification Category: Plumbing, Masonry, Roofing/Flashing and Electrical respectively.
The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, as determined to be in the best interest of the Town and to waive minor informalities.
No less than the minimum salaries and wages as established by the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Industries shall be paid to employees on this project, as set forth in the bidding documents.
Bid Deposit: Bid bond, cash, or certified or Treasurer’s check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the value of the total bid.
Surety Bonds: Labor & Materials Payment Bond and Performance Bond – Each One hundred percent (100%) of the value of the total bid, and Insurance Coverage are required at the time of award.
DCAMM Certification: Category: General Building Construction is required.
This Bid is subject to provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 149, §§ 44A – 44J, as amended to date.

The estimated cost of contract is $1,000,000
