2023 Special Town Meeting to Be Held Tomorrow

The Town of Wayland’s Special Town Meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, December 6 beginning at 6:45 p.m. at the Wayland High School Auditorium, 264 Old Connecticut Path.

Doors will open to the public at 6:00 p.m., with check-in starting at 6:00 p.m. Parking will be available at the high school, however, parking is limited. Residents should note that there will be no parking allowed on any roadway or grass area on school grounds. Carpooling is strongly encouraged.

Community members are encouraged to arrive early to allow for enough time to park, and check in. Residents should note that Town Meeting will begin promptly at 6:45 p.m. and will not be delayed for those who arrive late.

In the interest of cost saving, instead of using electronic voting handsets, Town Meeting will be utilizing a secret ballot process. Further information on that process, can be found here.

The Town Meeting will consist of one article, brought forth by Petitioners, to fund the Wayland Teachers Association (WTA) and Wayland Educational Secretaries Association (WESA) contract in fiscal year 2024 (FY24). The warrant language can be found here.
